Mayrhofen offers one of the largest ski areas of the Zillertal Valley: "Ski and Glacier World Zillertal 3000",
with over 150 kilometers of pistes and numerous modern lifts. In case there was too little natural snow,
100% of the slopes can be artificially covered by snow.
A ski bus travels to Mayrhofen (free of charge) - The bus stop is less than 50m away from the apartment. (bus schedule) Mayrhofen is also accessible by car and reachable in approximately 10-15 minutes.
All Zillertal ski areas can be used with the "Zillertal Super Ski Pass".

At our farm are hillslides, so the toboggan fun can start right outside the front door, but of course,
there are many more toboggan runs in the Zillertal Valley
In Ginzling there is a toboggan run, the starting point "Tristenbachalm" can be reached in 45 minutes from the village center in Ginzling (on foot).
The length is 2.5 km and offers a variety of curves. There are fast straight sections but also sharp S-curves and narrow 180° turns.
In the evening it is illuminated; Renting sledges is possible. The fee has to be paid on the Tristenbachalm. You can leave the sledges on the exit of the run.
Those of you looking for a little longer sledding should go to the longest toboggan run in the Zillertal Valley, the toboggan run „Gerlosstein“.
The entire Zillertal Valley offers a 200 km long network of trails for beginners and for advanced skiers.
You can do both, slide comfortably through relatively flat valley and enjoy the beautiful nature, aswell as navigate the increasingly steep slopes.
A long (20km) and rich in variety Cross-Country Slope is located in Tux. It might also be accessible even if it's already defrostet in the Valley.
The longest cross-country route leads from Mayrhofen to Uderns and on the opposite side of river Ziller from Stumm until Hart. In Mayrhofen there are a total of 9 trails with a total of 20km. All trails are easy to moderate.
In Ginzling there is a small cross-country trail which is prepared ski with existing demand.
The Zillertal Valley can beat with numerous skiing possibilities. Also for those of you who want to go ski tours.
There's something for everyone! Beginning from mild tours reaching to severe, intense tours. There are also guided ski tours offered by numerous expert guides throughout the Zillertal Valley.
Ginzling is the perfect starting point for some ski tours - eg for the top nest, whose starting point is the Innerböden, about 8 km from the property. It can be reached by car.
However, this ski tour is regarded as difficult and demanding.
Furthermore, there are e.g. the Rastkogel (Hippach) Ahornspitze (Mayrhofen) Torspitze and Hoher Riffler (Tux) to name just a few of the nearby mountains.
For the athletically ambitious mountaineers Ginzling is an ideal starting point for ice climbing.
